[1] PSALM 67 (Deus Misereatur)
May God be gracious to | us and | bless us
and make his | face | shine up|on us,

that your ways may be | known on | earth,
your sal|vation a|mong all | nations.

May the peoples | praise · you O | God;
may | all the | peoples | praise you.

May the nations be glad and | sing for | joy,
for you rule the peoples justly *
and guide the | nations | of the | earth.

May the peoples | praise · you O | God;
may | all the | peoples | praise you.

Then the land will | yield its | harvest,
and | God, our | God, will | bless us.

God | will | bless us,
and all the | ends · of the | earth will | fear him.

[2] PSALM 95 (Venite)
Come let us sing for | joy · to the | Lord;
let us shout aloud to the | Rock of | our sal|vation.

Let us come be|fore him · with | thanksgiving
and ex|tol him · with | music and | song.

For the Lord is the | great | God,
the great | King a|bove all | gods.

In his hands are the | depths of · the | earth,
and the mountain | peaks be|long to | him.

The sea is | his for · he | made it,
and his hands | formed the | dry | land.

Come let us bow | down in | worship,
let us kneel be|fore the | Lord our | Maker;

for he | is our | God
and we are the people of his pasture, *
the | flock | under · his | care.

Today if you | hear his | voice,
do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, *
as you did that day at | Massah | in the | desert,

where your fathers | tested · and | tried me,
though they had | seen | what I | did.

For forty years I was angry with that | gener|ation;
I said, * "They are a people whose hearts go astray,*
and they | have not | known my | ways.'

So I declared on | oath · in my | anger,
'They shall | never | enter - my | rest.'

[3] PSALM 98 (Cantate Domino)
Sing to the Lord a | new | song:
for | he has · done | marvel · lous | things;

his right hand and his | holy | arm
have | worked sal|vation | for him.

The Lord has made his sal|vation | known:
and revealed his | righteous · ness | to the | nations.

He has remembered his love * and his faithfulness
to the | house of | Israel:
all the ends of the earth have seen the sal|vation | of

our | God.

Shout with joy to the | Lord · all the | earth:
burst into | jubil · ant | song with | music;

make music to the | Lord · with the | harp
with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn *
shout for joy be|fore the | Lord the | King.

Let the sea resound and | every · thing | in it:
the world and | all who | live | in it.

Let the rivers clap their hands *
let the mountains sing to|gether · for | joy:
for he | comes to | judge the | earth.

He will judge the | world in | righteousness
and the | peoples | with | equity.

[4] PSALM 100 (Jubilate)
Shout for joy to the Lord | all the | earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness; *
come be|fore him · with | joyful | songs.

Know that the | Lord is | God.
It is he who made us and we are his; *
we are his | people · the | sheep of · his | pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving *
and his | courts with | praise;
give thanks to | him and | praise his | name.

For the Lord is good and his love en|dures for | ever;
his faithfulness con|tinues · through | all gener|ations.

[5] SONG OF ZECHARIAH (Benedictus)
Praise be to the Lord the | God of | Israel,
because he has come and | has re'deemed his ' people.

He has raised up a horn of salvation for us *
in the house of his | servant | David,
as he said through his holy | prophets · of | long a|go,

salvation | from our | enemies
and from the | hand of | all who | hate us

to show | mercy · to our | fathers
and to re|member · his | holy | covenant,

the oath he swore to our | father | Abraham:
to rescue us | from the | hand of · our | enemies,

and to enable us to serve him with|out | fear
in holiness and righteousness be|fore him | all our | days.

And you my child will be called a prophet of the | Most | High;
for you will go on before the Lord to pre|pare the | way for | him,

to give his people the | knowledge of · sal|vation
through the for|giveness | of their | sins,

because of the tender mercy | of our | God,
by which the rising sun will | come to | us from | heaven

to shine on those living in darkness and in the | shadow · of | death,
to guide our | feet in·to the | path of | peace.

[6] SONG OF MARY (Magnificat)
My soul | glorifies · the | Lord
and my spirit re|joices · in | God my | Saviour,

for | he · has been | mindful
of the | humble | state · of his | servant.

From now on all generations will | call me | blessèd,
for the Mighty One has done great things for me*
| holy | is his | name.

His mercy extends to | those who | fear him,
from gener|ation · to | gener|ation.

He has performed mighty | deeds · with his | arm;
he has scattered those who are proud | in their | inmost | thoughts.

He has brought down | rulers · from their | thrones
but has | lifted | up the | humble.

He has filled the | hungry · with | good things
but has sent the | rich a|way | empty.

He has helped his | servant | Israel,
re|member·ing | to be | merciful

to Abraham and his de|scendants · for | ever,
even as he | said | to our | fathers.

[7] SONG OF SIMEON (Nunc Dimittis)
Sovereign Lord as | you have | promised,
you now dis|miss your | servant · in | peace.

For my eyes have | seen · your sal|vation,
which you have | prepared · in the | sight · of all | people,

a light for reve|lation ·  to the | Gentiles
and for | glory ·  to your | people | Israel.

[8] THE EASTER ANTHEMS
Christ our passover has been | sac·rificed | for us:
so let us | cele|brate the | feast,

not with the old leaven of cor|ruption and · | wickedness:
but with the unleavened bread of sin|ceri|ty and truth.

Christ once raised from the dead | dies no | more:
death has no | more do|minion | over him.

In dying he died to sin | once for | all:
in | living · he | lives to | God.

See yourselves therefore as | dead to | sin:
and alive to God in | Jesus | Christ our | Lord.

Christ has been | raised · from the | dead:
the | firstfruits of | those who | sleep.

For as by | man came | death:
by man has come also the resur|rection | of the | dead;

for as in | Adam · all | die:
even so in Christ shall | all be | made a|live.

When you became man to | set us | free;
you did not ab'hor the | virgin's | womb.

You overcame the | sting of | death:
and opened the kingdom of | heaven · to | all be|lievers.

You are seated at God's right | hand in | glory:
we believe that you will | come and | be our | judge.

Come then, Lord, and | help your | people:
bought with the | price of | your own | blood:

and bring us | with your | saints:

to | glory | ever|lasting.

[14] HAIL, GLADDENING LIGHT
Hail, gladdening Light, of his pure glory poured
who is the immortal Father, heavenly, blest,
holiest of holies, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Now we are come to the sun's hour of rest,
the lights of evening round us shine,
we hymn the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit divine.

Worthiest art thou at all times to be sung with undefiled tongue,
Son of our God, giver of life, alone!
Therefore in all the world thy glories, Lord, they own.

[15] THE SONG OF CHRIST'S GLORY
Christ Jesus was in the | form of | God:
but he did not | cling · to e|quality · with | God.

He emptied himself *, taking the | form | of a | servant
and was | born · in the | likeness · of | men.

Being found in human form he | humbled · him|self:
and became obedient unto death, | even | death · on a | cross.

Therefore God has | highly · ex|alted him:
and bestowed on him the | name a·bove| every | name,

that at the name of Jesus every | knee should | bow:
in heaven and on | earth and | under · the | earth;

and every tongue confess that Jesus | Christ is | Lord:
to the | glory · of | God the | Father.

[16] THE GLORIA
Glory to the Father and | to the | Son:
and | to the | Holy | Spirit;
as it was in the be|ginning · is | now:
and shall be for | ever. | A|men.
