The General Secretary of Church Society said today that it was outrageous that a child should be prohibited from sharing her faith with other children in what is supposed to be a free country, where the government appears to bend over backwards to avoid injuring the feelings of those who belong to other faiths.
It is incredible that a Christian employee of a school can be suspended because she has asked for prayer from members of her Church.
The Rev Phillips entirely agrees with the views expressed by the Archbishop of York that it is an affront to Christians to investigate someone for alleged professional misconduct under such circumstances.
The investigation of Mrs Cain should be dropped immediately and she should be issued with an apology.
