that though God is one nevertheless in the godhead there are
'three persons' who are of one substance, power and eternity
- the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
All acts of God are Trinitarian but the Holy Spirit is clearly seen to the fore in certain acts, in particular in the application of the work of redemption. That is to say it is through the Holy Spirit at work in a Christian believer that the eternal decreese of the Father and the saving work of Christ are applied to us. This is not a one-off action but an ongoing work.
