Documents:Freethorpe: 1) Deed of appointment of new trustees to advowson of Freethorpe, 20/5/1950. Between John Inskip and another and the National Church League and others. Deed refers to: Indenture 25/2/1909 between Hill Mussenden Leathes and Haumer Webb-Peploe and others being a conveyance upon trusts of the advowson donation and perpetual right of patronage of and presentation or nomination to the Rectory and Parish Church of Reedham together with the Vicarage and Parish Church of Freethorpe annexed whereby the said advowson right of patronage and presentation or nomination became vested in the trustees. Also: 8/4/1925. Under the union of Benefice Measure 1923 it was ordered that a portion of the benefice of Reedham with Freethorpe should be severed from the said benefice of Reedham with Freethorpe and that the benefice of Freethorpe so severed and the benefice of Wickhampton should be permanently united together and form one benefice under the name of the United Benefice of Freethorpe and Wickhampton. Cantley: 1) Conveyance of advowson of Cantley. W Gilbert to E. Bishop, 29/9/1893. 2) Conveyance of advowson. Mrs H Rolston to the Church Association Trust, 10/08/1910 for 500. the owner doth hereby grant and confirm unto the Church Association Trust all that the advowson and perpetual right of presentation of and to the rectory of the Parish Church of Cantley and the rights and appurtenances hereto belonging to hold the same unto and to the use of the said Church Association Trust and their assigns upon Trust. Reedham: 1) Conveyance of the Advowson of Reedham and Freethorpe. Hill Leathes to The Patronage Trustees for the time being of The National Church League. 25/2/1909 for 500. beneficial owner doth hereby grant unto the trustees all that the advowson donation and next and perpetual right of presentation of and to the Rectory of the Parish Church of Reedham together with the vicarage and Parish Church of Freethorpe annexed and the rights and appurtenances thereto belonging to hold the same unto and to the use of the said trustees in fee simple 2) Appointment of New Trustees to the Advowson of Reedham, 20/5/1950. Above schedule referred to: 8th April 1925, Under the union of Beneficial Measure 1923 it was ordered that a portion of the Benefice of Reedham with Freethorpe should be severed from the said Benefice of Reedham with Freethorpe so severed and the Benefice of Wickhampton should be permanently united together and form one Beneficiary under the style of the United Benefice of Freethorpe and Wickhampton.
