Documents:1) Declaration of Patronage, St Luke s Chorlton-upon-Medlock, 4/12/1858. Robert Gardner had purchased it for 1200 a certain plot of land situate in Rutland Street, Chorlton, containing 1613 square yards with the capital Dwellinghouse thereon, known as Chorlton Hall, which he proposed to convey together with the offices and outbuildings thereto belonging as and for a parsonage or House of Residence for the minister or incumbent. 2) Agreement for vesting the patronage of St Paul s Chorlton upon Medlock in 5 trustees, 24/2/1862. a new church has been erected and built by subscription in Brunswick Street, in the Parish of St Saviour, Chorlton-upon-Medlock, at a cost of 4550 and whereas for the purpose of endowing the said new church, the subscribers to the fund have raised by subscriptions the sum of 200 for the purchase and conveyance of a site for a parsonage or house of residence for the minister and they have also provided 800 will be laid out and expended in the erection and completion of the said parsonage. 3) Appointment of New Trustees, Bishop of Manchester and others and Church Society Trust and others, 29/4/1970. By an Order of Council dated 25/1/1962 it was provided that the benefices of St Luke Chorlton-on-Medlock and St Paul Chorlton-on-Medlock should be united and the right of patronage to the united benefice should be exercised by the patrons of the respective benefices alternately the patrons of St Luke having first presentation. 4) Conveyance of the advowson and right of presentation of the Rectory and Parish Church of St Saviours, Chorlton-on-Medlock from Revd H. Brich to Church Association Trust.
